Miao Miao Chinese School has established in 1997, is a non-profitable Chinese School in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Miao Miao Chinese School was officially recognised by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of the Peoples Republic of China as a model Chinese school.

Miao Miao Chinese school is run by volunteers. It is one of the largest Chinese schools in Queensland, with over 500 students. Miao Miao is proud of teaching simplified Chinese characters and standard PinYin system. All our teachers are native mandarin speakers and certified teachers.Currently, Miao Miao offers several different levels of Chinese courses for year 1 to year 12 students , beyond level 12 Chinese, OP Chinese class , little kids Chinese and practical Chinese classes for adults.The school also offers other courses including martial art, drawing, dancing, music, magic ,English and Maths at beginner's and advanced levels for school children.

The school will gradually add other programs, such as Chinese history, calligraphy, chess and other under appropriate conditions, to further enrich students' lives in school, increase their knowledge and enhance their interest in learning Chinese.

Curriculum

1.幼儿班( Little Kids Chinese) Satruday & Sunday 9:30-11:20AM
针对5-6岁小朋设计的中文课程，寓教于乐，学习中文。对中文有很好的启蒙。
 
2.一年级到十二年级 (Level 1- Level 12) Saturday & Sunday 9:30Am – 16:50PM
汉语是苗苗中文学校最基本的课程。针对不同的学习对象，苗苗学校的汉语课分为多个不同程度的班级，学习的内容和教授的方法也有所区别。目前采用的是中国大陆暨南大学编写的语文教材，以认读和书写为主，配合大量的课堂和家庭练习，通过一至十二年级的系统学习，能掌握三千以汉字，达到自如运用汉语听、说、读写的程度。
苗苗中文学校的汉语课程，以中文授课为主，低年级班可辅以英文讲解，教师使用汉语拼音和标准普通话，书写采用规范简化字，对于已有繁体字基础的学生另行辅导。

3.中文OP（OP Chinese）Sunday 9:30-12:20 & 14:00-16:50PM
OP班的中文课程采用苗苗学校自编教材及OP中文模拟试卷。根据澳洲教育部门课程的要求组织教学，课程内容包括听、说、读、写四个方面以及OP考试技巧辅导。

4.高阶中文(Advance Chinese) Sunday 14:00-16:50PM
对一些中文程度比同龄高，如国内学过几年的小朋友。 可以有适合他们的程度，年龄的班级来学习中文。

5.Young Adult Saturday 9:30-12:20
对不是从小学习，上四年级以后或更高年级，想学中文的学生，就选择我们的Young Adult班。

6.成人中文班（Adult Chinese ） Saturday 9：30-11：20AM
成人班，成立于2009。依学生程度分班。
拼音班 ：完全没有中文经验，或会一点中文，没学过拼音。完成拼音，可以看拼音念中文。

7.中文会话班 （Chinese Convention class ）（免费） Sunday 12：30 -13：30
提供说中文的机会，有些学生在家没什么机会说中文。每周设定不同的主题例如：数字、颜字、动物、方向…等，用主题内容，透过活动记忆，老师会逐一增加对话指令，由简单句子，逐渐到教复杂的句子。在生活中，能自然运用中文。
