The phrase "如果...就..." (rúguǒ...jiù...) in Chinese is equivalent to "if...then..." in English. It is used to introduce a conditional statement, where the result or action depends on the condition being met.

Sentence Structure

  • 如果 + Condition + 就 + Result: The condition is introduced by "如果," and the result follows "就."
  • "就" can sometimes be omitted in casual speech, but its inclusion makes the connection clearer.

Examples

  1. Simple condition:

    • 中文: 如果他今天来,我们就开会。
    • 英文: If he comes today, then we will have the meeting.
  2. Describing a possibility:

    • 中文: 如果有时间,我就去看你。
    • 英文: If I have time, I’ll visit you.
  3. Explaining a rule:

    • 中文: 如果迟到,就不能进入考场。
    • 英文: If you're late, you won't be allowed to enter the exam room.

认为 (rènwéi)
